Medium Control Shapewear
I used to wonder why anyone would choose shapewear with only medium control. Surely you want the maximum slimming effect at all times? Actually, no. I have discovered in my shapewear wanderings that lots of women hate being trussed up like a dogs dinner. It makes them far too hot and uncomfortable and unable to move around normally. However, they are still wanting something to help their outfits look and hang much better. Enter medium control shapewear.
Medium Control Shapewear will…
- be easy to get on and off. You won’t feel like you have just conquered everest and need a lie down once you have this stuff on. Highly recommended if you have a bad back.
- be easy to wear. The materials on these tend to be much lighter weight and softer, so they should feel pretty much like normal underwear.
- not make you too hot. Most of the materials on these are breathable and light, so you should be able to wear them on a hot day – although do bear in mind it is another layer of clothing.
- not stop you from eating a Sunday lunch followed by pudding. You won’t feel all constricted and squashed in, so it won’t put you off your food.
- quite often be seam free. Apparently it is really easy to make seamless shapewear with medium control. Something to do with not having to have too much tension in the fabric.
- give you a smoother line under your clothes. These are quite often (especially in the good US of A), called underpinnings. They give a really good base for your dress to glide over, smoothing out lumps and bumps, disguising underwear lines and stopping the fabric of your dress from clinging to your bulgy bits.
Medium Control Shapewear won’t…
- make you look noticeably slimmer. Think smoothing rather than slimming.
